Seems strange that it runs 'all the time' and it isn't clear if the compressor is running or just the outside pulley. Normally the A/C compressor will drop out on acceleration or when going up a hill. Diagnostics over the internet is always difficult and if the person looking at the problem is unfamiliar with how it operates, it gets tougher.

This is why I told him to take it to a shop. He would need to be taught starting from the very first point. He don't even know how the compressor is engaged.

yup, gotta love those commercials that sell the freon rechargers with the hose on the can. You just add the whole can and... blow out the seals or freeze up the accumulator Makes more work for the certified mechanic and a larger bill for the vehicle owner. You gots ta know when to say when.... .

My 2011….if I turn the hot/cold all way to cold max…a/c compressor engages. Try turning it up 1 or 2 notches.
