This is my first post and I'll really appreciate your help.
I have a 2006 HHR LS 2.2 the last summer A/C worked perfect cooling very well even in idle, but this year it has been working intermittent blowing hot air sometimes, it colds good when car is accelerated running at least 2500 rpm.
I've checked gas pressure and it's 40 psi on the low side and 250 on the high side, I got to add more gas and have higher pressure so it can cold but still getting hot air on engine idling, could it be the expansion valve?
As an additional information the weather was 90 degrees and 5% humidity...

 

I will bet that your coolant temp is running around 170F, and you have a Check Engine Light. If neither of those then check your coolant level. You probably need a new Thermostat.

Your symptoms don't sound like an expansion valve. I would reclaim the r134 and recharge to the proper weight then recheck your output temperature.
