Yeah, my morning paper is late.

Come on man, you need to elaborate a bit more than "Any trouble anyone?". IE: are you getting a CEL code, 2.2/2.4/2.0L, Year, troublesome symptoms, and whatever other relevant info..

Yes KENC, there have been problems with them, here's a nice thread on the subject including an excellent "How To". Click the link below....

Actually that thread refers to the replacement of the Camshaft Postition Actuator Solenoids, not a sensor for the cam angle.

I'm making a semi-educated guess that by "cam angle sensor", the OP is referring to the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoids since they do determine the cam angle/position. Cam Angle Sensors are used in Honda engines equipped with the VTEC system(and perform the same function as our CPAS's)so the OP may be using that terminology if he has a background dealing with Honda's etc.

And I was assuming he was referring to the Camshaft Position Sensors (CMP) which are used to drive the CPAS. :)

I believe this is the issue I have with my HHR...with the P0011 code? If that is, in deed, what you're referring to anyway :-/

Part came in this morning, taking it to the dealer tonight to do night drop, and then hopefully will have it back as good as new tomorrow.

However, I'm experiencing a new issue as of Friday night, and I'm unsure if it's a secondary issue...or if it's from this cam position sensor.

I have no real good idea how to describe it, but I drove my car Friday afternoon to work with zero issues. Got in the car Friday night to drive back home, and around 30-40mph I could hear this buzzing/whirring noise. Almost like a small exhaust leak or one of the louder mufflers on another car (except I was driving home without other cars around, so I know it's my HHR making the noise)...Nonetheless, it's a constant noise and it kind of changes pitch with speed. So can't hear it too much around 10-20mph, but by 30mph you can hear it pretty good.

I'm not real familiar with this sound...Although I know when OnStar told me the P0011 code the guy asked me if I car was running louder than normal, or idling hard, or anything not typical. At the time no, but now the answer is yes.... :-/
