I take it back, that is the pulse damper as 1Panel2NV said. I was looking at the description above the picture in the manual instead of below.

20HHRSS08, is that just true for the turbo motors? I'm not real familiar with them. If so, pardon my response, and in the words of Judge Joe Brown, "a small part of my ignorance has been banished" (or something like that). As I recall, the 2.4 idles at about 44-46 psi. and that's what my response was based on.

db/sb .. no worries for calling me out .. i have just heard many times people ask what the ticking noise is when I have sold a HHR or Cobalt SS or something similar. The fuel injection set up on that 2.0 is so different .. it actually injects the fuel below the air intake port as the piston comes up to cause the combustion .. Look it up on google for a diagram or details .. But the pump runs at like 700 idle and up to 2000 ish at wide open .. The 2.0 was a pretty big turn for GM motors .. check it out

The 2.2 and 2.4 have a idle of about 40-45 and wide open of 60-65 i think? Don't quote me 100%

20HHRSS08,

Your comment about idiling after a drive is a mis-nomer, that was the old turbo days. These new babies take oil straight off the motor, I'm not saying don't do it, just not as important as it used to be.

yeah, its the same as change your oil every 3k ... you can go 5-6k now confidently BUT it wouldnt hurt anything to still do it every 3k .. none the less
i was just recommending it if you have time

So I guess if you had a problem you couldn't just run down to Pep Boys or Autozone and buy a piece of fuel line off a spool for one of those like we could with cars 'back in the day'.
