I cant put a finger on it exactly ...but in my head ...I wanna do out the back like the inside of a coffin ...just for some pizaaz BUT ...the point is to come up with a set up for a slightly archaic/gotic love nest ....point of THAT being touring ...me and the old lady ...cruising ...something about this car just seems to inspire it I think.

Once shes in from the factory her maiden cruise will be from Dover De. To Hellen Ga. for a week at a cabin and Der Octoberfest in the Town.

Yes I do drive it, every day actually, but hardly ever on the weekends. Even took a trip to PA from Bama in Dec of 09 for a Steelers game.

Taking it to Florida next Saturday for a 7 day trip down there.

32,500 on mine and modded almost from day one.sorry bart, didn't mean jack your thread.

ic piping was cracked when it got to me
clutch pedal bracket broke
power steering went out
tire pressure sensors have a mind of there own lol.

that's all the problems i have had with the car, knock on wood. got her new 7/08.

the only thing that bothers me about it now is i can't shift the car car fast. it jumps out "the gate". was doing that when i had the stock shifter. i thought the short throw would fix it.

Same on the tire issues other wise just flipped 26,000 with only a tranny issues that was covered by getting a new one :) Seriously the car has worn on me a bit. Two issues in four months and only three years old. Might go get a new Jeep and roll slow since this thing and my lead foot has helped my insurance company rase my rates :)

Well ...I too have a bit of a speed adiction ... of course I open it up on a straight southern bound higway at 3 am when theres no one on the road except me ... and of course the state Trooper who "pops" me ...LOL

I get the thought behind the Jeep thing ...but for me ...Id just get more of the same no matter what I drive ...have learned to use the cruise control a lot more though ...kinda ticket insurance thinggy

As everyone says a lot of this is the dealer. If you are anywhere close go to Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson Texas take it to them. I had them do a bunch of work on another chevy I own and they're amazing. I just wish my SS was in Texas not California (i have two residences).

Anyway, I've had issues with the turbo upgrade and blew a fuel pump on the way to vegas and must admit I got real close to selling it, but there is something I just love about this car.

Sure I'd like a little better build quality on some of the interior items and the key fobs are cheap, but I've found nothing for the money, (actually even twice the money) that is close to the SS in speed, usability and uniqueness.

I love the car, love to drive it. My wife has a virtually new Trailblazer SS and a Infiniti FX and she drives my HHR SS 90% of the time. My assistant who is a died in the wool German car fan, laughed at the SS until he drove it now he also loves it.

The ONLY real issue is they didn't come out with Version 2 of the vehicle. I can just imagine how great a little better build quality and a few more attention to details and upgraded version of this car would be.

In fact i like it so much, I might buy a second one.

Yes the dealer is 90% of the issue on most problems as often most do not have a tech good with Turbo's of any kind.

The reality of the kit is we are lucky to have gotten it at the time we did. GM was a lot worse off than most really understand. The fact that they built this kit and got it to market is amazing let along getting it warranty qualified.

It would have been nice to have sesores made for the HHR vs borrowing them from a Alfa Romeo. Also plug in wires would have been nice too but the cost would have more than likley killed the project.

We need to remember GM could not afford to put on the hood scoops on the GTO till 2005 because they had no money. Yes it was that bad.
