Car will not stay running

I have pressure at fuel bar but car will not stay running. I can get the car to start and gas spays out of fuel bar pressure vavle but its like the engine runs out of gas. Hoping for some help diagnosing the problem. 2008 2.4, might be 2.2 butI think it's a 2.4.

Is the Engine Check Light lit? Did you just recently gas up?

It's actually been sitting a couple months as i was trying to fix some other issues. It was a full tank of gas when i left it at my dad's in May. He couldn't fix it and had it towed back to me. The check was lit before from a previous issue.

Well, without knowing what the check light problem is indicating, we can play 20 questions here all day long and get nowhere.

If there used to be a code (and you don't indicate what it was at this point), there likely is a new code associated with your current issue.

and what were the "other issues" your dad was trying to fix? they might be related.

Get the code(s) read, post the codes and we'll see what we can help you with.

Are you using the right key? Have you changed keys recently?

The eighth digit of your VIN will tell you what engine you have.

I will get the codes checked and get back to you. The other issues was my battery would randomly die, there is a short or something pulling on the battery. He replaced the battery. Then the car wouldn't stay running. I'll get the codes though. Thank you.

D- 2.2L. No change in keys. It starts but immediately stalls out. The fuel injector is working if its getting gas from the pressure relief valve. Im hoping it's not the fuel injectors as those are an expensive repair. Due to the gas sitting so long I may need to siphon out as much as i can and put new in with fuel injector cleaning product.

correction: fuel pump is working if its spitting out fuel from the fuel rail pressure valve.

The injectors are not an expensive repair The shouldn't cost much more than $100 + labor.

That's probably not the problem, however the electronic part of the Electronic Fuel Injection probably is.

Check engine codes are important! The codes, not the description.

Why are you suspecting fuel supply is the issue? Some reason it couldn't be ignition related?

the only thing I'm going off is my dad has a BFE mechanic who told him it was the fuel injectors. Im going to have to tow it to have the codes read. I will be back as soon as I know them.
