cargo light switch not making contact
It would seem that this issue has not been addressed before.
I recently replaced my 06LS with an 07LT and so far the only issue aside from the bottom of the radiator being curved and not straight, is that the switch on the cargo light doesn't make contact unless I push up on it.
I've had the cover down and looked at the switch and where it slides, and can't tell what the problem is.
There's a little metal part in the switch that's held in place by four tabs and has a spring that "forces" it upwards, which I had to fix, but that wasn't the issue either.
I've looked online and in the forums for ideas but have come up bupkiss.
Any suggestions, short of dropping the headliner, would be appreciated!

The fixture is attached to the roof with a magnet. Kind of a force fit into the headliner. The wires are glued to the roof, so they seem to be anchored.
What usually happens is somebody leaves the light on for a long time and the plastic parts melt.
I think there is a how-to about "turning the cargo light around"
