Remove the gas cap and clean the contact surfaces, or replace gas cap. Check the evaporation system for leaks, here’s a list to have a look at

I put an aftermarket locking gas cap on it so I'll start there first at lunch from work. May have to put original cap back on.
What terminal is best to remove from battery to clear code?

It’s the negative terminal, just loosen the nut on that terminal, when you put it back on, be careful the terminal is prone to cracking if you over tighten it.

First make sure your gas cap is sealing. always turn it past 2 clicks.
Second be sensitive to gas smells around the driver side rear wheel, that could mean a pin hole in the evap tube.

Page 1 bullet 7 confirms our suspicions, fuel cap!

come to think of it, I remember several members having trouble with locking fuel caps back in the day!

Also when I got the cel read autozone reader picked up the abs error that I have intermittently come on that I have mentioned in a couple other threads, c00400 right front wheel speed sensor. I was under the impression that once the abs/traction control light error cycled off autozone readers wouldn't detect it. F'n shop I went to wanted to charge me 150 to read the abs error codes...obviously I walked out of there.
