Yes, that is the A/C compressor on bottom right.

No power steering pump. The steering has an electric assist motor on the shaft. Look up under the dash and you can see it.
Thanks for the clearup. I guess I'm so used to all of the old hydralic stuff like my lumina. Even the water pump was so easy to get too. Now since the water pump on these runs of the chain on the crankshaft does that mean that it will last longer compared to belt driven ones?

Also explains why my car is so much easier to turn then my lumina or my cousin rendevouz. No hydralic pump means awesome IMO.

Well it was a LOT more than just a busted belt!

Apparently there was not enough clearance for the belt from the piping going to the intercooler. The belt actually rubbed a HOLE in the pipe! Then the whole shredded what was left of the belt.

The pipe had to removed, adjusted a little and the hole welded over. I guess it's a good thing this turbo never went into production. There'd be a bunch of unhappy people. But then someone installing it on there own car would likely be more careful about clearance issues.

Really? a belt breaks and now my $4000 turbo doesn't work? I guess the bright side is it didn't start on fire.

If you think that's biting your "freakin' head off.. " then you may wanna look up the meaning of sarcasm.

Nope. I'm guessing it only rubbed under hard acceleration or it would have gone much sooner.

Thankfully the no boost issue is minor. The piping going to the intercooler came loose. Saddly I'm going to have to pull the bumper to really tighten it down. The sopt I need to get to is near impossible from the top and rough from the bottom. Oh well, needed to pull it for another issue anyway.

Yes, that sounds logical.. Do you think any shavings went in the piping ?
