My first car was a 1979 Trans Am with the 403 Olds. I have a place in my heart for those cars...

New update:
They get the whole thing back together, only when they start it up, the serpentine tensioner decided to self detruct.
You have got to love the parts on the engine that are special order only and are not available anywhere in SoCal. So it looks like next Monday or Tuesday next week.
I am starting to get a bit upset...

How many miles are on your HHR and did they have any idea why the head was warped. I had a Vega GT many years ago with an aluminum head and although I never had one problem with my engine a lot of people did.

I dropped it off with 2230 miles. As for the warped head, it seems to be a problem from the factory. That's all they could tell me.

My check engine light went on again. 2nd time in about 3 weeks. I received the same misfire code the 1st time. I changed the plugs and the light went away. It came back on this past Saturday. So I'm taking my car to the dealer this morning. little over 8800 miles on her. We'll see if it's the same issue.

I hope it's not. This problem has caused me nothing but problems and the dealer won't stock half the parts they need to do the same job, that I know. It will be one long ordering parts fix.

That definitely does not sound encouraging. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, I just heard back from the dealer. They said two of my spark plug wires are bad. So they are replacing all the wires, and also I have a bad gas cap. So they are replacing the gas cap as well. Whew!
