It seems like there are a lot of HHR's with the gas cap problem. I have had Harvey back twice. I hope they get that problem solved once and for all.

See ya down the road.

Yeah. it's a good thing we are able to wait two years before inspection or there would be a lot of HHR's out there that would not pass inspection with the faulty gas caps.

Glad that all worked out for you. I got word from the dealer about an hour ago that I should be getting my car back in a few hours. Now I get to drive 900 miles home tonight on a car I just got back. I hope it makes it.

Car seems to be doing great now. Can't go wrong with a rebuilt head.

900 miles on the new head and the damn thing is leaking oil on my parents driveway. I didn't come out here to clean their driveway, I drove here to see my father who is in town from Iraq and returning next week for another 1 year tour.
I am getting sick of this HHR...
Soon as the next 0% comes along, goodbye HHR, hello Envoy or Equinox.

My vote is for having the dealer check the coils on the plugs. The hhr uses the same type of coil on plug system that my f150 had. on those usually if you have a random misfire that cant be tracked down its because either the boot spring has compressed and is not connecting all the way or the coil itself is bad. This will be especially true if your vehicle starts to misfire for no reason in the rain. (been there down that on the ford lol)

My check engine light is on 60% of the time. I've had it in and they keep saying it's the gas cap. I still have a problem anyone else?

Tell your dealer that you want an evap leak test done. Find out what the code is. If its a p0440 dtc that doesn't mean that it has to be the gas cap leaking it could be several other things most likely the evap vent valve stuck open. The dealer can inject smoke into your evap system (fuel tank and lines) and find out right where the leak is.
