Try more than twice that price. When I looked at one a couple years ago, it was $3500+. Apparently it's even more nowdays:

However, a search for Tech2 on Google brought up some interesting hits for 3-400 dollars at a China based web site.

I thought about adding the extra 0, which would include the required subscription to the software, but, I figured the + would be scary enough.

Physically touch every connector you can get to, to make sure they are plugged in and no frayed wires. Check especially the end of the engine harness that plugs into the ECM (under the Darth Vader thing in front of the fuse box). It really sounds to me like either somebody knocked something loose, or a piece of the harness got rubbed or heated, since the HO2 sensors and the throttle position sensor only have that in common.
