Ditto on being careful about mentioning contact with a friend who's a service manager somewhere else because(ChevyMgr you can back me up on this)that dealer will tell you to just go visit your buddy and don't darken our service drive again.

Well guys, heres the update... I spoke to the service manager today and he stated that there was a problem with the wiring in the fuse box. Funny how those things happen. I didnt mention it to the dealer. He is going to order the part and should have it fixed by tommorrow afternoon. Total cost is $225, due to the fact that my warranty has expired. When I asked him if it could have been caused by the accident, he stated that he did not know for sure and couldn't say. Well, I truly hope that this will be the end of the problem, cause if not, I am thinking about trading it in......for another HHR of course, but this time one that is BRAND NEW. Thanks, ChevyMgr for your advice in solving this issue.

I would call the insurance company and I would bet a lunch on them covering it for you. As you stated this started after the accident. We see these things happen from time to time after the vehicle is repaired and picked up. I have yet to see an insurance company deny a legit supplemental claim.

Well, I talked to the insurance company and they are going pay for the repairs. The dealership ordered the wrong part and i should have had the car back today but it looks like it will be Monday before I will get it back. i think that they are trying to back track and fix it right so I wont have to come back. We shall see....

Well, Did they finally fix it, I am having a similar issue, just no clicking. Car will not crank to start until after 4-5 tries, Every time I try to start it. Have dash lights radio and all. Does your repair order/reciept say what part they replaced? I have no warranty and have not been in a wreck so just trying to get an Idea. Thanks
