Chevy emblem

Do anyone know how to get the chevy bowties off the front grill and rear liftgate so I can paint them? and how would you put the back on?
I probably could get them off but wouldn't know how to get them back on so I figured I would ask.
Thanks

Are you looking to do something like this? I used vinyl I got from a local decal/graphics shop and it worked out great for me. BTW, where in TX are you located?

I didn't remove them. I cut out a piece of the vinyl about the same size of the bowtie and trimmed it up with an x-acto knife. There's a groove between the gold of the bowtie and the chrome surrounding that I used as a guide

applying the vinyl on the car takes about 10 min each, and mine has stood up over a year with no problems.
