Cluster info
Took my 06 hhr instrument cluster out to find that led light for check engine light was gone. Was thinking it was just a bulb but it's not what do I do.Was told buy a guy in Advance auto replace cluster. But he also told me it would change my milage.Any input will help

I believe the "guy in Advance Auto" is holding their reputation up.
That is true in some cars. The HHR stores the Odometer in the BCM. You might need someone with a Tech2 to match a new cluster, I can't find that info.
Where do you suppose the surface mounted LED might have gone?
Did you decide to look because the CEL was not illuminating when you turned the key to "on"? If you have State Safety or Emissions Inspection, that should have flunked it.
