clutch pedal not returning to top.

I have a 2009 HHR SS 5speed. The clutch pedal doesn't return to the top. I have to put my toe under the pedal and it pops back up. Does any body have an ieea what could be causing this?
Thanks Boomer

There could be an issue with the return spring or the pivot for the clutch pedal is sticking

Check the return spring on the pedal.

(OK. A little weirdness on the site. I posted my 1st response and Oldblues post wasn't there. Now it is with a time stamp almost an hour before mine.
What gives Oldblue ? Are you messing with me using those Mod skills ? )

Even our posts sometimes go to moderation(seems random). I check for these things several times a day, but you folks to the east wake up(and post) well before me(time zone thing). OB had 2 posts in the queue.

And it's Fall , not spring, even though we have 80 degrees weather up here!

Yes, but it's usually the spring that causes the pedal to fall.

Is Chevy making an Equinox fall edition? Sorry, OP, we're having a little fun.
