Code C0300

Code C0300
My son's 2006 HHR (2.4L LT) had the check engine light come on yesterday and this morning I read the codes with my reader. It showed codes P0010 and P0011, which I know is the intake cam solenoid. However, the reader also showed a C0300 code, which doesn't appear in the code list on this forum.
Anyone know what C0300 is? My son says the auto trans is shifting hard so maybe it has something to do with that.
I am going to replace the intake cam solenoid and hopefully the other code might go away?
Thanks
Steve

Replace the solenoid and the hard shifting issue will go away - it is a result of the solenoid malfunctioning.
C0300 is not a code associated with the HHRs from what we have seen - Google shows it is related to the rear speed sensor on trucks/4wd's.

Thanks for the info.
I did google C0300 and found the same code for GM trucks.
Does it do any damage to drive the car for a few days with the code?
The reason I ask is that I can save about $15 by ordering the solenoid online instead of buying it locally. it will take about 3 days to get the solenoid. If it does cause damage, then I will spend the extra $15 and buy it at a local store.

I bought the solenoid at a local parts store, I just received a $5 off coupon in the mail from them so it ended up costing $40.
This has to be one of the easiest repairs possible on the HHR. The HHR already had an aftermarket air cleaner setup which replaced the factory air box, so I didn't have to remove it. It took about 5 min to replace the solenoid.
No more codes and the auto trans shifts are smooth now.
Still don't know why the code reader gave a C0300 code, but all the codes are gone now.

Well, code P0010 is back.
I did notice for a while that there was a timing-chain-type noise.
I am suspecting that the chain is loose and causing the computer to think the cam positioner (solenoid) is not working.
I bought a new chain tensioner and will replace it to see if it helps. If not, then I amy need a new chain.
I suppose there is always a chance the new solenoid failed, but the odds are against that.
