Code P0606

Code P0606
Day before yesterday I went out to run errands in my 2006 HHR LT with 2.4 engine and A/T. I drove a few miles into town, went into a business, and when I came out to leave the car would not crank. There was no click no groan no nothing. It was if the battery was dead (which I figured it was). I could see the lights in the store window and they appeared strong which led me to believe it was not the battery. After a few attempts it started right up. It ran fine but the CEL stayed on. I have an Actron Code Reader and I used it to check the code once I got back home. It displayed P0606 which is PCM Fault. I erased the code, but as soon as I restarted the engine it came back and the CEL came on. Bear in mind the car ran fine even with the CEL on.
Today I disconnected the battery for over an hour to see if it would cause a reset. Thinking it might be the relay, I also pulled it and tried to get a replacement at the local parts stores. Two of the large chains did not stock such a relay so I came back and plugged it back in. It showed no signs of burning or arcs. I re-connected the battery and it started normally with no CEL.
Anyone had a similar problem or have any suggestions? I am supposed to travel this weekend and next for Holiday gatherings, but I sure hate to drive this HHR if it's going to leave me someplace.
Anyone got ideas?

Well, I reconnected the battery and drove the same route I drove a few days back where I had the problem. No failure to start, no check engine light, no codes! Perhaps it was an intermittent glitch?
