So as I wrote last week I replaced the gas cap. Got it from GM. Well now since I changed out the thermostat the reading check gas cap keeps coming on when its cold. Any thoughts. I am getting very frustrated considering I just bought the damn thing...

I just used a paper towel and Spray Nine to wipe off the metal filler neck, nothing that could cause a spark !!

You said you changed the EVAP valve and/or the canister, I believe. If that's the case, my vote goes to installer error. A bad vac connection will give the same cap code.

What would need to be done to correct if it is installer error? Also have you received a paper from Chevy about the shifter when going into park not allowing it to release the key? Also have any problems when the car is cold such as the morning and it won't shift out of park with out excessive force?

Re install.

Use the search for your other questions. Basic answer yes and well covered.
Try to stay on one topic.

Not trying to not stay on one topic. But it seems one leads to the other. Also don't have a way to search at the moment as my computer has died

I believe he means that you should use that little box at the top of the page, and search the site using those terms.

And, whatever you are using to write these posts with will be suitable. Sorry about your computer, though. I hate when that happens.
