You get what you pay for, I’ve purchased cheap chain sets. Then I replaced that chain kit before the cheap one broke after just 23,000 miles.

ALL Ecotecs have an issue with the timing chain andntensioners.
I'm replacing mine this Thanksgiving weekend @ 171k
Since I can't have guests over I might as well do something.

It’s a recommended replacement part, 80,000 to 120,000 miles as the chain does stretch.

Cloyes 9-4201SA and 9/4202S kits are recommended along with a Melling front guide upper bolt
