Coolant - What is too high?

Mine usually says 195ish but since I've had issues with the anti-freeze I've noticed 205+. What is too high?

Nothing abnormal about that temperature. I can't look it up right now but 235° or 245° I think.

edit: The repair manual no longer gives specific temp ranges on how high it will go except to say that at 257° the fan will run for 80 seconds after the ignition is shut off. But not to worry you have the DIC readout, the temperature gage and then the always friendly idiot light that will tell you when it's too hot.

highest i've seen in my SS was 212, and that was on my trip to Tuscon, sitting in Phoenix freeway traffic, nice and low speeds after driving through the afternoon for a few hours, it was like 113 outside, and we were going maybe 15mph max for a good 45 minutes or so. i was astounded by how cool this little car stays lol.

My fans come on at 219. I coming up the grapevine one HOT summer day it reached 223. If you run with the air conditioner on the fans are already on and it never gets much past 198.
See ya down theroad
