daytime running lights stuck on

howdy folks. new to the site. driving an '06 hhr. driver headlight stopped working one day. replaced it. passenger front turn signal stopped working. replaced it. next day, found that park lights wouldnt go off after turning car off. time was midday with no clouds. lights stayed on about 30 mins and went off. same thing happened at night as well. park lights began staying on longer after engine shutoff. eventually got to point that park lights would not go off at all. ran battery dead. jumped car off. park lights still wouldnt go off. tried control stick as well. works low beams, hi beams, but will not shut off park lights. only way to turn them off is to pull relay or fuse. now my autolights do not work at all. think i remember light sensor on dash being slightly transparent, but now completely black. any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you turn the car off and the lights are still on, does the chime go off when you open your door?

What brand and part number bulb did you put into the passenger park lamp?

i turn the key to shut the car off. take key out of the ignition. open door and chime dings to let me know the lights are still on. walk around car, and all park lights are on. pull park light relay, and park lights go off, but chime keeps dinging until door is closed. in addition, entire instrument cluster stays lit for twenty minutes. park lamp is eiko brand, 3157 replaces 3157sa. headlamp is sylvania h13.

Have you tried turning the light switch manually after you shut the vehicle off?

finally got the car to the shop. as it turns out, it ended up being a body control module.
