Not that I can recall - but it likely should be do-able.

Any comments/suggestions from other members that have worked on the front dome light?

New owner of a previously loved 2011 HHR 1LT.

The problem I am having is that my dome lights aren't working at all. I turned the dimmer all the way up and clicked it over to turn on dome lights but i got nothing. I checked the fuse for it but it looks ok (not sure if the contacts are clean enough). i took the fuse out and put it back in and it made a noise like it was making contact but the dome lights still not working. i thought about just replacing the fuse to be on the safe side. any thoughts?

You could try swapping the fuse for an equal rated fuse in a system you know is working. See if that system stops working and the dome lights start working.

And to the forums!!

Do bulbs wear out in California? They sometimes do in Virginia.

is the map and dome lights the same or are they seperate bulbs?

if one dome light bulb goes out does all of them?

Because the drawings in the Owner Manual are confusing; what fuse are you looking at. #27 on the inside (BCM) fuse box?

You could just take the lens off and look, there are several different designs. The lens is held on by a "tab A in slot B" arrangement.

Why would you think dome light bulbs would be different from any other light bulb, serious question I don't understand.

On my 2009, there is 1 bulb in each of the 3 dome lights. The map lights are not part of the dome light system.

it is fuse 27 in the bcm fuse box.

i took off all the lenses off to check. front and rear bulbs are good. the cargo doesnt have a bulb in it.

i thought maybe if they did away withe the dome switch, they may have tried to do something else funky.
