Gee, that reads like a shopping list, and there have been issues with latches reported over the years.

On the doors that open, lubricating the latches with white lithium grease will work wonders.

And give this thread a read...

A body shop would be able to work on it.

Door latches are one item that most people never include in their maintenance protocol.

Good advise Mike, the white lithium grease is a Crucial Issue, but I also always carefully check the door strike adjustment on any new vehicles I buy.
When doing the door strike also pay attention to your outside door alignment when your done.

Silverfox. Hi Guys...... Been away for some time but back now.

We've missed you Silverfox, welcome back my friend!

Good point on checking the striker adjustment, and the doors on "high mileage" HHR's do develop a slight drop over time.

All three of the original doors on my 330,000 mile '06 have enough play in the hinges to drop a bit when opened, and that's with regular lubrication.

Once I get caught up on my "honey do list" and the umpteen other projects I've got on the boil, the hinge pins will be getting replaced.
