First let me say I have done a search and couldnt find an issue exactly like this. If I missed it sorry in advance.

I was working in my garage this morning with the Panel in the driveway. All of a sudden the horn honked a couple of times. O.K., I thought I had leaned on the key fob in my pocket, have actually done this several times on my cars.

Moved the key fob and thought all was good. Couple minutes later it happened again and then just kept doing it periodically. Horn honks and doors lock. Each time the horned honk you could hear the door lock actuators as well.

Thought the fob may have got stuck so took the battery out, horn still honked and doors locked periodically. Found the other fob and disassembled it as well. Problem didnt go away.

Now I am really baffled. Disconnected the car battery for 30 minutes or so and no change.

Decided to play with the setting for the lock/unlock system and alarm horn settings. So far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My first real gremlin with my little Panel and hope its nothing too crazy. Has anyone else had an issue such as this?

 

Yes turned out the car battery was dying, have yours checked out.

 

That does sound like a jumpstart is nearing.

 

Thanks. I will have it checked. The battery is only about a year old. When it went bad before it just wouldnt start. None of this weird stuff.
Now my Corvette is another story. When that battery started to fail all sorts of weird electrical things happened.
