ok one issue i have noticed with my door locks... with all my doors locked ...i can pull the drivers ouside door handle and it unlock the door and i can open it .. the alarm beeps a few times until i can press the unlock button on the remote .... so no matter where the car is parked and if i leave something on the seat or on the console ... someone can just open the drivers door and take anything they wanted .... and what is going to stop some moron trying to car jack me if he can just open a locked door on my car ... i have not tried this issue with my car turned on and in drive... not sure if it will do the same ...i will try it out this weekend ......so does anyone know how i can get this changed or fixed ... thanks for any responses i get ....

Wow, sounds like a serious security issue!!

Sounds like the lock is not functioning at all. Definately should get a dealer to look at it.

 

My guess is you need to have the door latch mechanism replaced. This would be covered by factory warranty or an extended service contract.

 

Wow, was this recent or was it like that when you bought it? It could be that someone has tried to break into it, and succeded.

 

Ive Had The Car Since 08-16-05 And Just Noticed It .... No One Has Broke In To It .... The Few Times I Have Tried It .. The Car Was Locked And Not On .... So I Will Try This Weekend To See If It Will Unlock It With The Car On And In Drive .....

 

The actuator for the door lock is inside the latch mechanism, so it could have just recently broke or possible it was always that way. Are you still under warranty?

 

yes its still under warranty ... i will have to take it in and have it checked out .... i also wanted to know if anyone else has try it out .... cause i know its real issue ... cause id hate for anyone to get some of their stolen .... thanks guys ...

I dont know about anyone else, but I try to open the door and find it locked almost every day. Early senility I guess.

 

It Was A Broken Lock Mechanism .... It Was Replaced Under Factory Warranty ... The Only Bad Thing Was Those Clowns Did Not Place The Door Panel Back Correctly And It Sqeeked ...lol .... Had To Take It Back ( It Took Them Two Tries To Put It Back On Correctly ......
