Use the key on the drivers door. Turn the key counterclockwise.

If you're locked out and can't get in, how would you know that it needs a jump ???

Good question, unless he tried "remote start" not available on all models.

His post says "no fob, just a key" so I don't see him doing a remote start try.

Door lock does not work with Fob or Key

i haven't fooled with it any since i didn't get home from work till about 3:30am because of this. i will roll the windows down tomorrow and fiddle with it and see what i can find out.
New message: I am having this exact same issue. How was this resolved? Was a repair involved? Thank you.

We will never know the Original Poster never returned.
If you are not mechanically inclined you should call a locksmith. And get the fob working to avoid wear and tear on the locking mechanism.

A low battery will cause the fob not to unlock the doors, use the ignition key in the door lock, if that doesn’t work or turn the lock it’s probably because the new ignition key wasn’t matched up to the vin when the ignition recall was done, if that’s the case then you need to call a locksmith.

Sometimes funny things happen to the locks when a car is repo’ed.
