Dreaded intermediate shaft?
I’ve reviewed the video, again.
try to snug the pinch bolt at the intermediate steering shaft to EPS motor, it’s a 13 mm and get torqued to 25 ft lbs
there should be enough room to reach up and grab the shaft , then wiggle the steering wheel as you did and see if the shaft is moving within the slide part of it. Sometimes the white lithium grease dries out and the shaft gets noisy.

This end out in front of the firewall below the brake booster , this U joint was loose and the sliding shaft was ceased. I suggest replacing the shaft. RockAuto has them listed for the LS/ LT models, don’t forget our discount code. The SS shafts are very different and are obsolete, no longer available.
