DRL not activating
Hey, so I was checking through the manual and I found this part where it said that the when the turn switch is in the auto position, then the drl is automatically activated with a 20 second delay when the light sensor detects light.
This doesn't happen in my car. The dashboard stays dim and the taillights, side marker stay lit until I switch them off after each ignition. I thought this was how the car was made... until now.
I'm pretty sure nothing is covering the light sensor, where do I start looking?

I’d leave it alone, it is very possible that when your HHR was imported to your country, the laws were different for the lights and so the way they work was changed. Like in Europe, some countries mandate amber turn signals in the rear tail lights.

If you have one of those add-on carpet dash pads, they can interfere with the light sensor working. I had to enlarge the hole in the carpet on mine for the sensor to work correctly.
