Engine Noise When Cold - Maybe Not A Problem
I have a 2007 LS model with 1500 miles on the odometer.
Now that the weather is getting colder here in the Northeast, I am noticing a sort of whirring, whining noise on start-up, and it is noticeable from between 1000 and 3000 RPM's. It goes away completely after a few mintues of driving.
I am thinking that one of the belt-driven components, such as the alternator or a/c compressor, might have bearing issues. It is not at all unusual for machinery to make unusual noises before achieving normal operating temperatures, but I thought I might voice the issue to the forum to see if anyone else has noticed something similar.
Respectfuly,
Willie R.
