Engine power reduced

I was just wondering has any one had this happen to them. My HHR will on occation go into a reduced power mode, Usually if i'm messing around and smash the gas. It'll seem likes only two cylinders are firing, with a ugly sputter at idle and only rev to 3grand and 25 miles an hour tops. I'll have to shut the car off wait for a minute or two and it turns back on running fine. The check engine light will be on for the next few starts and then it'll go away.

I have a 2.2 auto with a B&M shiftplus shift kit, I'm thinkin it might be the shift kit freakin the comp out, because I noticed that it does it more often once i flip the kit on. But not too sure because it's done it a couple times without the kit on.

What do you guys think? Any one else running the shiftplus or have similar problems?
