Engine Power Reduced

Went to go get dinner while leaving work today and went to go make a right hand turn and merge with traffic, all of a sudden the reduced power message chimed and the car lagged. Luckily some one was slowing down to turn so I had a little time to get out of the way, and then the car got some power and kept going. Having no were to pull over and since the car was still running I continued on a bit till I could. Every time I tryed to speed up it lagged then would go after a bit of a hard shift. Was able to park the car and turned it off for a minute and then back on to see if it would start up and it did. I let it sit for awhile while I came and did some searching and found some info but not sure what the code is till I get the code reader dropped off to me a little later. I did however go check the wire loom a few have mentioned and didnt see any thing right of the bat that looked out of place or messed up. I did check the fuse block under the hood again and found a lot of unset fuses(smaller ones and the larger ones also). Then started it up and the CEL is still on but the reduced power message is gone. Any ideas to whats going on, I did just recently install a K&N filter the stock box and I have an 08 2.2. Im hopeing its nothing major since we need to go out of town this Friday and this is our only car.

P2135 is the code it threw some thing to do with the throttle position sensor. Any ideas on what to do? Im thinking about calling the dealer but the dealer here sucks. Im assuming it would be part of the power train so should be under warranty, but they might try to wessel out of it. Any know if it should make a 3-4 hour one way trip and back? We did clear the code and before that it was running fine just had a check engine light on, but runs fine now well see I guess. We leave tomorrow about 4 so I guess see what does between now and then.

Had the same thing happen to me after I installed the same filter. Cleared the code and after the computer adjusted for the new K&N filter I have had no problems since.
Hope this helps.

Im already out of my 36k or 3yrs warranty. Im hopeing its just a simple thing with the filter that will correct itself or I might just get a new standard filter.

If it is not wiring/connector issues or aftermarket filter issue, other things that would cause this code is programming, ecm or throttle body. The ecm is 8/80 and the throttle body is 5/100.

PM your VIN to me so I can check for programming updates.
