Unhappy Error code P0340 and P0341

2006 HHR 2.2 liter engine. with engine light on, car is running fine but error code indicates camshaft sensor is bad. Where is this located. I have checked many blogs and posts and can't seem to locate it. Everyone says a different location. Some posts even said the 2.2 does not have one. I changed the ICM but the light came right back with the same codes...Please assist

The 2006 2.2 is unique in that it works quite differently from the other Ecotecs used in HHRs. I don't understand it but I believe this has been covered in other threads in these forums, so do run a few searches while you wait for a response.

The 2006 2.2 might have camshaft sensors, they are at the drivers end of the cylinder head, look to ensure they are there , before you Oder them

That’s the intake sensor #7 look on the exhaust side for that sensor

Red face P0340/0341

Thank you for responding with the diagram. I did see this on another thread but others said it was behind the timing chain cover or it didn't have one. I watched a you tube video where it was located right on top of the motor. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to locate it. I did change the ICM and the air filter and oil and oil filter. Was hoping I wouldn't have to get under there....I've my 06 for ten years and this is the first problem I've had. Has 159000 miles. It's been a great car. Thanks again, have a great day!

They are pretty easy to find and just 1 bolt holds them into position. They don’t fail often, so inspect the harness
