ESC Active flashing

Hello everyone...
All of a sudden yesterday, while the road conditions were dry, my ESC Active light came on along with the hazard triangle flashing.
It felt like the car was braking or trying to stabilize, but I was just driving straight and like I said the road conditions were dry.
What could be the cause of this? It happened again this morning.
Could it be a sensor?
Thanks for your help!

Year, model and mileage would help.

It could be a number of things from a low tire to a loose wire, to low battery voltage

Some people have had the issues, here’s some reading
I personally would start with heading to a parts palace to have the OBD II read for any pending codes and have the battery and charging system tested.

The parts store may not be able to read ABS codes and they don't store, the light has to be on.

It could be something as simple as a loose wheel speed sensor connector, but there are several other sensors that can get loose or bad.

Is there a collision or repair history with the car?

I bought it in 2015 and it came with a carfax. In 2011 the sway bar links were replaced. In 2015 the ignition switch, ignition lock cylinder and power steering motor were replaced.

The OP might have replaced his rear shocks recently according to a recent thread where he was inquiring about brands of shocks.

HMMMM. I dont remember getting anywhere near my ABS when I did the rear shocks. Maybe something was dropped/banged into a wire? If the job was done at a shop, its doubtful they would admit to damaging a wire.

Don't forget the rear fuel line that needed replacement...
