Exhaust manifold studs for 09 2.4?
Doing exhaust manifold today. Thought I’d have a stud set on hand just in case. But I can’t seem to find one. I’ve not yet called the dealer. I can’t even find a part number on gm parts direct.
I’ve called Dorman and asked about their set which works on the list below. But service tech said it’s not the same on the 09 2.4l HHR?
Anyone got some wisdom for me on this?

how difficult is it to get the old studs out?

The main issue is quality.
Dorman is a copy of the original made in China and with no quality checks.
That's why I don't use Dorman products.
Have you looked into Rockauto?
They ship also and we get a discount.

just quoted and even with discount after shipping it’ll be quicker and cheaper to just go to the dealer. So I’ll just do that. Thanks.

Not sure about the 2.4, but the 2.0 has a barrel nut on the center stud. Didn't see any sets with that.
If the studs don't come out easily, I would leave them in. That's just me, though. One nut attaching the turbo to the manifold was problematic. Ruined the nut and stud trying to remove it. Then I had to remove the manifold, $85 for a muffler shop to get the one stud out of the manifold.
I know it's not exactly the project you're working on, just thought I'd share. If it ain't broke, don't break it trying to fix it.

if they still run i run them to running temp then pull them apart , as they seem to unthread a lot easier just go slow if they make noise work them back and forth , just take the time or u will spend the time lol , gl gm only ,,,,, nuts and studs
