First real problem with my SS
First real problem with my SS
So I'm changing the oil on the SS and what do I see. It appears that I have an oil leak from around the high pressure fuel pump.(think thats what Chevy refers to this pump as)
There was just a light residue below the pump, so I took a rag and wiped the area clean. When I reached under the pump, I found the insulation was saturated with oil. And I mean saturated! The insulation is like a sponge and I guess it is full, because now it is oozing out.
My question is.Has anybody else with an SS had an oil leak from this pump? I'm going to pull the insulation off and take a look. I assume there is an o-ring on the pump shaft and most likely where the leak is coming from.
And yes, mine is under warranty and will be heading back to the dealer.
