Flasher work sometimes

Newbie to forum, my '05's signaler is works both left and right when it feels like it. We changed the unit on the column 3 times and this has not fixed it. Could the problem be electrical? Love to here your thoughts, thanks for all your help :)

Hi, your ‘06’s master switch might not be engaged in the steering column correctly. You do know that the HHR ran from 2006 thru 2011.

Read the part about the milky white tab engagement in the steering column

Thread title says flasher, your post says signalers. Replacing the unit on the column won't help the emergency flashers.

Is your issue with the turn signals or the emergency flashers?

My '05 is actually an HHR '07 LS

Thanks for calling me on that.

I will try to clarify, I replaced the turn signal arm unit on the column, 3 times. it continues to work randomly.

I unplugged-replugged and it continues to work only sometimes both left and right.

Thanks for your patience and support :)

Perhaps the harness connector has loose or bent pins?

Worth another look!

The thread you shared with pics is a little more clear, thanks! I have pulled apart the master switch on two other units that I have to adjust the brass part, but the 'milk-white clip' could be the culprit. I will try again! Thanks Oldblue 🙂
