Flashing Dash Lights!!

Did a search, but can't find my exact problem. Hope someone can help. Occasionally when I start my car all the dash lights blink on and off and I can hear a noise behind the dash. Like I said this doesn't happen every time but enough times to have me concerned. I don't drive it when this is happening. I usually can turn the ignition off and then back on and it's okay. Hopefully I can put this video on to show the problem. Thanks for any help on this.

Battery is too low.

That happened to me once, turned out the battery was too low. If it keeps happening to you, you may have a bad battery. I would get it checked.

x2. I had this happen on my Sierra. It went into limp mode. Battery was at 12.3 volts. New battery, problem solved.

Thanks for the quick reply geo. I should have said in my original post that I did have my battery and alternator tested, and they’re both good.

Hmm, then I might be a loose ground. But that is exactly what my HHR did with good alternator, good battery, low charge.

I assume this only happens on start up, so something could be draining the voltage while it sits and then you have enough to start the car and then the alternator charges it back up until you let it sit and start it again.

X3 battery , they know how to beat the system! Mine was pronounced dead at 12.3 volts, the CCA were way down due to a dead cell.

Wouldn't be the 1st time someone had the battery/charging system checked and the shop was wrong. I recall a couple members on here getting the OK on a battery, only to replace it and see the problem disappear.
How old is your current battery ? If older than 36 months, I would suggest replacing it anyway.
At the very least. Check the positive connection at the underhood fuse box. A known place for either corrosion or a loose connection.

Thanks alot for all the help, the battery is 2 years old. I'm going to check all the connections and recheck the battery.

Did they connect directly to the battery to load test it? Or plug something into the power outlet?
