You have my sincere sympathies, with your '67 SS 427.........(drool)..

My OE Firehawks still have decent tread, but have gotten hard & not the most "hard-rain friendly"..

Cleaned out the wheels as best I could then let the car warm in the garage. Went back out and smoooooth riding again. It's amazing how much of an impact that had on the vehicle.
Those nice chrome rims don't like snow!

Thanks for the fast replies. This is a great forum.

Have you ever watched the TV movie: "My Cousin Vinny"

Where they stuck in mud, & get red clay packed on the inner rims.

Big Thump, thump thump..

No, I didn't see that. Big thump thump is right on the money.

Well same result, but the snow would eventually melt away. Where-as the mud just makes a mess. LOL

Haven't noticed that on mine, which still has the original Firestones on it. Years ago, when tires were made with nylon casings, late 50's early 60's they would always develop flat spots when the car was parked. The colder it was outside, the longer it took for them to round out, but they really shook. I had a convertable in those days, and that top made noises that were unbelievable as it shook and flapped from flat spotted tires.
