fog lights
HELP. WHAT I THOUGHT TO BE FOG LIGHT WIRE ON RIGHT DOES NOT GO TO OR IS THERE 1 ON THE LEFT. SIDE. HAVE NOTE HAD MY LT BCM PROGRAMED YET AS I DONT HAVE THE FOG LITS. IN YET. COMING SNAIL MAIL NEXT TUE. IF I PUSH THE FOG SWITCH ON MY DASH LITS COME ON AND I HAVE NO POWER TO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE FOG LTS PLUG. COULD THERE BE A HARNESS THAT PLUGS INTO TO THAT AND CROSSES TO THE LEFT SIDE. I DID CHECK IF THE PLUG I FOUND OUNDER THE WATERFALL HAD POWER TO IT WHEN IGN. WAS TURNED ON. THAT PLUG DID FIT THE OEM FOG SWITCH I BOUGHT FROM THE DEALER. WHAT DO YOU THINK CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
WHY ARE YOU YELLING?! You will need to run a wire from your BCM to your under-hood fuse box. THEN you will need to run a wire from your under-hood fuse box to the fog lamps, and body ground them. At least this is what is needed on my LS. What type of HHR do you have?
HIS PROFILE SAYS...ahem...his profile says he's got a 2010 1LT so I think you're right on with your advice there nacademus. As far as I know there shouldn't be any differences in adding fogs to a 1LT versus an LS.
The 07 LS that I have done was programable I had to install control from bcm to under hood fuse box also had to add wire from under hood fuse box to the fog lamps as well as the the relay. some hhrs seem to have more wirring than others. do a search on factory fog lamps and you will find lots of info.
Here is the most probable wiring you will need to run:
From BCM to PDC (power distribution center, AKA fuse block) under hood.

Orienting from this pin at your BCM connector:

THEN, even though its not called out-because I'm a lazy piece, you will need to tap in at connector C3 at E5 and run THAT to the positive leads on your fogs.
Here.

Simply put, the tap in that goes TO the positive leads of the fog lights looks like this- red wire in case you couldn't tell. lol.

Don't forget, you need to get the relay and a fuse for the blank spot in your PDC.
Here is the relay you will need.

If you don't have the hole for the factory push-button, this spade bit makes an absolute perfect hole.

Your retaining bracket should already be there to accept the switch...its behind the waterfall next to your TC button. If you don't have the TC button, then you may not have the retainer.
Good luck.
