Got a 09 HHR LT 2.4. Recently started to get a low howl/growl and a vibration through the pedal. Stars about 40-45 mph. stops good,doesn't pull while running or stopping. raised it up, no play side to side or up and down. did see some grease on inside of wheel and checked CV boot has a crack. Here's the rub, I get no cracking or popping like you usually get from a CV going bad, just the noise and vibration. Am I looking at both a CV and Bearing problem here, or just a boot or what. Used my injection needle (former VW owner) and shot some grease into the joint. Not much help to the noise or vibration. Don't know whether the problem is the bearing or a CV getting ready to go south..
