Just bought a 2006 HHR LT with a low 2000 km in Toronto area. Vehicle is mint, like new, but terrible thump noise when going over bumps on road. Already been in for service at local dealer. They had never experienced this problem before. It was noticable just driving in their parking lot! Anyone with this problem??? They removed the sway bar, noise went away, put it back on and noise is back. They are ordering new bushings and will replace when they arrive from the USA. Anyone else know if this is in fact the problem - bushings - or is it something else. New vehicle with low milage shouldn't have this problem obviously - advice from those with similar problem please. Is it related to the cold Canadian weather ??? This was suggested, hmmm. I do not see a recall yet on this. Comments pls.
