This started a couple weeks ago. Of course when I'm sitting in the pass. seat it doesn't happen. It's not the seatbelt adjuster in the B-pillar either. it is definitely comming from the door itself, and doesn't matter if the window is up or down. Anyone with this before?

 

Bet a bolt is loose that hold the window track or motor. My old '99 Silverado got a knocking noise of some sort with in a few months of being new and when I took off the door panel I found a bolt was loose and that was the problem. Later the other door developed the noise and again a bolt was loose.
Strange thought that your doesn't do it when you are in the pass. seat? maybe someone should be in the drivers seat and driving also

mine is making a whinning noise when i unlock or lock the door, also the pass side, but i think mine is the door lock about to go out. havent heard any knocking in mine.....YET...
