Front side left inside lock cable

Hi Guys I really need help big time. After reattaching cable to
door handle nothing appeared to be broken the cable end just
detached itself from the handle. I reattached the cable to the
handle . I put the door panel back on but the inside handle will not activate the lock. What else could have come undone while the door panel was flailing around ?? Thanks Dan

They should be "typical" . Do you mean yours does not look anything like that?
