Tried removing just one of the vent shades so I had something to compare to. Both windows still sticking... Any fix for this yet? If not, I guess its back to the dealer I go...

It will be warmer when you are at the dealer and they will find absolutley nothing wrong.

Yeah, I know. It warmed up over the weekend too... I hope we get some more cold days before the end of the winter... I plan on taking it over 1st thing in the morning and have the service writer come out and witness it before it warms up. But the best laid plans........

I have that problem, and I have window vents.

Vents that attach with double stick tape to the painted surface around the door would obviously not effect anything. But the in-channel vents take up some space and create a tighter seal around the window. I believe that could make the problem.

I am going to try the GM silicone emulsifier. I am skeptical about using silicone, though. My past experience has been that in cold weather, it gets thick, gummy, and sticky. I saw it used on a shotgun with a folding stock. In the cold weather, the stock would not open.

My driver side front freezes more than others. I also have moisture/water appear when rolling window down and back up. Guessing it goes hand and hand with frozen window problems or am I wrong?

I just had the same problem for the 1st time with my drivers side window. As anyone besides the one I've seen on here gone to the dealer? All the rest of the windoes worked fine. It would seem if it is happening to only the drivers side with all of us that there is something wrong. I'll wait and see if it happens again than I'll be bringing it in. Last thing I want is to be at a drive thru in the pouring rain and have the thing not go up.

I haven't been to the dealer yet - weather hasn't co-operated for my available times. Do you have in track vent shades? I've found that once it starts to work, then there isn't a problem with them going up. Its only a problem getting them started going down.

I have had this problem yet, and there are no bulletins as stated in an earlier post. I did take a close look at the weatherstrip and this is the only thing I could come up with. If you look at other vehicles the weather strip on the outside of the windows comes up the window and acts like a squeegee(sp?)
and cleans the window off. On the HHR the weatherstrip rolls down and there is no part that goes up the window. I notice the weatherstrip on my drivers window is more worn than the others. (felt material on the inner edge against glass) My only theory is that due to this wear and design of the weatherstrip the drivers window freezes more than the others due to the smooth texture of the worn weather strip. I have siliconed mine and it helped for a day or two, did make a mess of my window. Now I carry a little spray can of de-icer and spray on the weather strip in cold weather. Seems to work ok.

I have had this happen to me once after a day of wet weather and then it got real cold that night. Pretty embarrasing at the Dunkin Donuts drive thru

Carry a can of de icer with you? lol..gotta laugh in a sad way....

This is one of the few cars where the windows look like crap after you roll the windows down and back up and there is moisture on them.....desgn is pretty weird as it looks like a lot of crap can get sucked down in the window channel...I have some scratches on my drivers side window that I have no idea how they got there...my guess is that some stuff in the channel got to it an scratched it

Civics are looking better and better lol
