No offense taken, I simply don't think that a metal plate with 4 screws to hold it down in the floor would cost very much.

 

They seem to have managed to do it on the other Delta cars. Cobalt, G6 (or is that G5?) etc.

 

There may be a difference because they would be in the trunk on the other cars, but in the passenger compartment in an HHR....... some kind of "liability issue" I would imagine.

 

Ok, I’ll take a gander at this.

The fuel tank is located beneath the rear seat, so an access panel to the fuel pump assembly in the tank would only be assessable with the rear seat lifted or removed. Plus another access method through the carpet to the desired sheet metal access panel would be required.

After doing all this access work, dropping the tank may just be easier.

possible, GM solution as the something to do with the cargo modification of HHR. I no surprise. if the original HHR planning mainly in the form of a pickup.
