Fuel Tank Installation

Hey there! First time on this network. Does anyone out there have any advise for getting my fuel tank back in? I took it out to replace my fuel pump and I'm having a hard time getting it back in. Do not have anything fancy like a lift or anything. My car is a 2.2 LS 4 door, not panel. Thanks!

Hopefully it is near empty. Get the car up on jack stands and roll around under the car. Do the reverse of taking it out.

I once saw how they used a shopping basket for this.
It was another car, not HHR. But I liked the idea.
If your car is on a lift - just roll the cart under the bottom and lower the car. It will be low, but you don’t need to hold a heavy tank in your hands.

I used a piece of plywood over my floor jack , you have to slide one end over the exhaust pipe and then wiggle the tank up and over the rear axle .
I’ve done it a few times , be careful and take your time .
