What a disappointing way for GM to treat a buyer. My HHR has been in the service dept eight times in the 16 months I have owned it. Last four times have been to try to resolve an driveline drag issue that is costing me 4 mpg on the DIC avg mpg readout (and it is not 10% ethanol gas, we've been on 10% ethanol gas here since well before the problem) The last time around, dealer basically in so many words said don't bring it back here again.

If I were you, I would trade it in after the leak is fixed. No telling what may pop next on it.

On mine, I may resort to buying a Factory Repair Manual for $135 from Helms and see if I can resolve the problem on my own dime. I was going to get rid of it for something else but the HHR's trade value is really bad.

Keep in mind, those are TSBs, not recalls.

You have a 1990 Ford Ranger Edge??? I owned a first year 2001 Edge and spent way too much money on it. I even lowered it, to a point, where it ate front tires every 6 months. Gotta love torsion bars on a "sporty" truck.

It's just my daily driver. Don't know much about Rangers. I've been told since that the 'EDGE' stickers had to have be put on it by one of it's previous owners.

Hey no harm no foul. For a 90' that Ranger is pretty clean. I bet it does pretty decent on mpg.

Not bad for a V6; low 20s hwy, 17-18 overall last time I checked it.

Sunroof Leak

My driver's side water leak turned out to be from my sunroof. The drain disconnected under the kick panel and was squirting against the firewall and down under the carpet. I am waiting for the 'how to' to replace the drain tube. I can't find where the tube connects to exit the truck.

I just sent my car into the dealer last week for a ton of water inside. Well the guy that worked on my car said that there is a flap on the firewall that was catching water runoff from the windshield. So he siliconed it up and hopefully that fixed it. I am going to take it in next week for them to finish another problem so they will double check it

Just saw this thread and thought I would add something. A friend of ours has a 2007 base model and discovered her drivers side seat belt was soaking wet. Turns out it was the front attach screw on the luggage rack. Once that was sealed, the water problem was solved.
