Gas leak toward back tire
Gas leak toward back tire
Got a 2007 ls with a gas leak near the rear tire leaking from the metal line ,, what's the best way to fix it? Can cut that section out and install a rubber line ? Any suggestions
so long as you use high pressure fuel compatible hose and clamps, gear clamps will cut thru neoprene hose and cause even more issues, I found that out the hard way on my 1985 Chrysler Le Baron Turbo ES, she burnt to a crisp!!!
Just wondering. Anybody else run into this problem it is leaking were it goes thur the frame and then up to the gas tank...I guess it is corroded were it makes it bend inside the rail to go up to the tank .,, oh well wheel bearing going out on my passenger side stock one with 180.000 miles ...
Well i got my wheel bearing fixed , know i ran the car by my buddy's shop to put it on a lift to get a better look ... Well it seems the line from the middle of doors need to be replaced all the way to the tank because of rot ... So if i have to replace the whole or part of the line is there any kits to do so or is this a stealership item only ? What should i do ? thanks
Have a "foggy" recollection that some other member had a fuel line problem and said the lines were on "National Back Order". So you might want to check with a dealer first......to help make a decision.
Oh, and I would use the OEM or, if available, an aftermarket STEEL line. I suspect Chevy used steel for a valid reason.....although you have had a problem with it.
