Question gauges stuck

today i noticed that my gauges are not returning to zero. i checked the fuses and they are all seated and not blown. the speedo reads 20mph, temp. is a little above 0, etc.
anyone have any ideas that i could check before i take it to the dealer?

I would take it to the dealer, but make at least 1 right turn on the way.

well, early this morning when i went to work, the gauges were fine. they've worked properly ever since. is this going to be one of those things that i take to a dealer and get the standard "well we can't duplicate the problem" answer?
